Technology expertise that understands your mission

Clearpath exists because nonprofits deserve better than overpriced consultants who don’t understand your world.

The problem we’re solving

A nonprofit knows they need better technology. Maybe their donor database is a mess, or they’re running critical programs on spreadsheets held together with hope. They reach out to a consultant, get a proposal full of jargon, pay more than they budgeted, and end up with a solution that doesn’t quite fit, delivered by someone who disappeared the moment the invoice cleared.

Or they go the other direction: find a “tech guy” who can fix the WiFi but can’t help them think strategically about how technology connects to their mission, their growth, their impact.

Neither option works.

Clearpath is the third option.

We combine strategic technology leadership—the kind of thinking you’d get from a CTO—with hands-on implementation skills and deep grant expertise. We find the funding, write the applications, and build the solutions. One partner, the whole journey.

And because we work exclusively with nonprofits, we understand how you operate: board dynamics, lean budgets, mission-first decision making, the constant tension between doing good work and keeping the lights on.

You don’t have to translate from corporate. We already speak your language.

Jeremy McDonald

Meet Jeremy

I started Clearpath because I kept seeing the same pattern: nonprofits struggling with technology decisions while sitting on grant opportunities they didn’t know existed. It felt like a problem I was built to solve.

My background is in technology leadership. For the past 18 years, I’ve built systems and led teams across industries—from startup MVPs to enterprise platforms, healthcare marketing to B2B integrations. I’ve been a VP of Technology managing engineering teams of 15-20 people. I’ve architected distributed systems, deployed AI solutions, and helped organizations navigate complex technology decisions.

But the work that’s shaped me most has been closer to home.

For the past five years, I’ve served as board treasurer for Kitsap Harvest, a food rescue nonprofit here in Kitsap County. That experience changed how I think about technology consulting. I saw firsthand how small organizations operate, the resource constraints, the competing priorities, the board members wearing six hats, the executive directors who somehow keep everything running on determination and duct tape.

I also saw how much potential was being left on the table. Technology grants that nobody knew about. Systems that could save hours of staff time. Strategic improvements that could unlock growth—if only someone could help them see the path.

That’s what Clearpath does. We find the path and walk it with you.

What to expect

When you work with Clearpath, you work with me directly. I’m not a salesperson who hands you off to junior staff. I’m not an account manager who doesn’t understand the technical details. I do the work.

You get real expertise, not a junior associate. The person on the strategy call is the same person writing the grant application, configuring the CRM, and troubleshooting the integration. Continuity matters.

You get honest guidance, not upsells. If you don’t need something, I’ll tell you. If there’s a simpler solution, we’ll explore it. My job is to help you make good decisions, not to maximize my invoice.

You get a partner who sticks around. Technology projects don’t end when the software is installed. I’m here for the questions that come up three months later, the staff member who needs a refresher, the board member who wants to understand the roadmap.

When projects require specialized skills such as custom development, complex integrations, or security audits, I bring in trusted partners from my network. But you still work with me as your single point of contact. No juggling vendors. No falling through cracks.

Rooted in Kitsap County

Clearpath is a Kitsap County business serving Kitsap County nonprofits.

I chose to focus locally because relationships matter in this work. I want to know the organizations I serve—to see them at community events, to understand the specific challenges facing our region, to be invested in outcomes that affect my neighbors.

Kitsap County has an incredible nonprofit ecosystem: food banks, youth programs, environmental groups, arts organizations, social services—all doing essential work with limited resources. Many of these organizations are ready to grow but stuck without the technology infrastructure to support it.

That’s where Clearpath comes in.

We also serve organizations across the Puget Sound region and can work remotely with nonprofits throughout Washington State. But our heart is here in Kitsap.
